We are excited to announce that Gold Coast Bank will soon become Investors Bank. Upon completion of the anticipated merger, your Gold Coast Bank account(s) will officially transition to Investors Bank on Monday, April 6, 2020, giving you access to expanded products and services, and enhanced online and mobile banking capabilities. While the Gold Coast Bank name will change, you will be able to continue banking at the same locations and you will continue to see many of the same familiar faces you’re used to seeing. As with Gold Coast Bank, Investors Bank is and has been deeply rooted in the Long Island and Brooklyn communities and we are excited to deepen our engagement and commitment to you and the community.

To ensure a smooth transition, we created this dedicated, online Hub as a place for you to go to get the most up-to-date information in the days leading up to the anticipated conversion. Here, you will find all the information you will need including, answers to merger related questions, downloads, and useful links to help get you started as an Investors Bank customer. We will continue to update this page as we get closer to the anticipated merger date.

FOLLOWING ARE ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Q. WILL GOLD COAST BRANCHES STAY OPEN?

A. All Gold Coast Bank branches will remain open. Upon completion of the anticipated merger and full systems integration, all Gold Coast Bank branches will become Investors Bank branches.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ONLINE BANKING? WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS MY PERSONAL ONLINE BANK ACCOUNT?

A. The Gold Coast Bank Online Banking platform for personal banking customers will become unavailable as of 4:00 PM on Friday, April 3.
 
On Monday, April 6, 2020, all Gold Coast Bank personal banking customers will be able to enroll in Investors Bank Online Banking. If you are a current Gold Coast Bank Personal Online Banking customer, you will need to re-register for online banking with Investors Bank. Please note that none of your information from Gold Coast Bank will transition to the online banking platform at Investors Bank including alerts, scheduled transfers and payments, and bill pay information.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH ANY PAYEES THAT I HAVE SET UP IN GOLD COAST BANK BILL PAY?

A. Payees set up in Gold Coast Bank Bill Pay system will not convert to the Investors Bank Bill Pay system. If you are a bill pay customer please save all payee information including any upcoming payments as this information will need to be re-entered into the Investors Bank Bill Pay system.
 
The Gold Coast Bank Bill Pay system will be unavailable as of 9:00 AM on Monday, March 30, 2020. All payments scheduled through Friday, April 3 will be made. Any payments currently scheduled for after April 3, will need to be re-established in the Investors Bank Bill Pay system after Monday, April 6.

Q. WHY IS THIS MERGER HAPPENING?

A. The merger between Investors Bank and Gold Coast Bank creates the opportunity for two banks with similar shared values to come together and offer Gold Coast Bank customers an expanded array of products and services, enhanced online and mobile banking capabilities, and more branch locations.

Q. WILL THERE BE CHANGES TO THE GOLD COAST BANK BRANCH STAFF?

A. Upon completion of the merger you will continue to see many of the same familiar faces you’re used to banking with.

Q. WILL MY ACCOUNT NUMBER CHANGE?

A. Most account numbers are not changing. An Investors Bank Welcome Package was recently mailed to you with information about how your accounts will transition, including any changes to account numbers. If you did not receive a Welcome Package please contact us at 855.iBank4U (855-422-6548).

Q. WILL INVESTORS BANK REMAIN INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY?

A. Yes. As a community bank with similar values to Gold Coast Bank, Investors Bank is deeply committed to serving the local communities and will continue its great presence in supporting the local Long Island communities.

Q. WHEN WILL THE CONVERSION TO INVESTORS BANK BE COMPLETE?

A. We anticipate closing our merger in the next month in which case, on Monday, April 6, 2020, your Gold Coast Bank account(s) will officially transition to Investors Bank account(s).

Q. WHEN CAN I BEGIN USING INVESTORS BANK BRANCHES?

A. You may begin banking at Investors Bank branches and at InvestorsBank.com upon completion of the anticipated conversion weekend, on Monday, April 6. Please visit myinvestorsbank.com/Branch-Locations to find a branch location nearest to you.
 

Q. WILL I RECEIVE A NEW DEBIT CARD?

A. Yes. If you currently have an active Gold Coast Bank Debit Card you will receive a new Investors Visa® Debit Card. You may continue to use your Gold Coast Debit Card for up to 45 days following conversion. You should destroy your Gold Coast Debit Card upon activation of your Investors Visa® Debit Card. You must activate your Investors Bank Visa® Debit Card to be eligible for certain product benefits and mobile wallet compatibility.

Q. WILL THERE BE CHANGE TO MY GOLD COAST BANK LOAN?

A. While Investors Bank will now service your loan, the terms of your loan will not change.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO DIRECT DEPOSIT OF PAY ROLL OR SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS GOING INTO MY GOLD COAST BANK ACCOUNT?

A. There will be no interruption to any current ACH electronic transfers, and your ACH credits will continue to be deposited into your account. Please note that for any recurring debit card payments, you must provide your new card information to the receiver.

Q. WHAT IS THE INVESTORS BANK ROUTING NUMBER?

A. The Investors Bank Routing number is 221272031.

Q. CAN I CONTINUE TO USE MY GOLD COAST BANK CHECKS, OR WILL I RECEIVE NEW ONES FROM INVESTORS BANK?

A. You may continue to use your Gold Coast Bank checks. You may order new Investors Bank checks after your account conversion. Your first standard order of checks is free if made within 6 months of the conversion.

Q. WILL I STILL HAVE OVERDRAFT PROTECTION?

A. Although the amounts may change, if you currently have Overdraft Protection on your Gold Coast Bank Checking Account for check, ACH, or ATM/Debit Card transactions, you will continue to have this protection through Investors’ Overdraft Service. This service provides a personalized daily dynamic limit above your available balance to meet your transactional needs.

Q. WILL THERE BE ANY CHANGES TO MY INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNT(S)?

A. If you have an IRA, Investors Bank will become the new custodian/trustee of your plan when the conversion is complete.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY GOLD COAST BANK SAFE DEPOSIT BOX?

A. There will be no change to your current safe deposit box and the monthly fee will stay the same for 1-year, effective at the date of conversion.

Q. IF I CURRENTLY PARTICIPATE IN THE GOLD COAST BANK SERVICE APPRECIATION PROGRAM AS A U.S. VETERAN, U.S. ACTIVE DUTY PERSONNEL, POLICE OFFICER, FIREFIGHTER OR FIRST RESPONDER, WILL MY BENEFITS CONTINUE AFTER THE CHANGE TO INVESTORS BANK?

A. The benefits of your existing account will remain the same at this time.

Q. WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO GOLD COAST BANK STATEMENTS AND PAST TRANSACTION HISTORY?

A. Yes, you will have access to past statements and transaction history for up to 12-months.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ONLINE BANKING? WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS MY PERSONAL ONLINE BANK ACCOUNT?

A. The Gold Coast Bank Online Banking platform for personal banking customers will become unavailable as of 4:00 PM on Friday, April 3.
 
On Monday, April 6, 2020, all Gold Coast Bank personal banking customers will be able to enroll in Investors Bank Online Banking. If you are a current Gold Coast Bank Personal Online Banking customer, you will need to re-register for online banking with Investors Bank. Q. HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE ONLINE ACCOUNT FOR MY BUSINESS?

A. The Gold Coast Bank Business Online Banking platform will become unavailable as of 4:00 PM on Friday, April 3.  Prior to the expected conversion weekend Gold Coast Bank commercial platform customers will receive an email with login information, detailed instructions and a link to informational videos and tutorials.

Q. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH TELEPHONE BANKING?

A. Gold Coast Bank telephone banking will become unavailable as of 4:00 PM on Friday, April 3, 2020. You may begin using Investors Bank telephone banking as of 8:00 AM on Monday, April 6. The Investors Bank telephone banking line is (855) 422-6548.

Q. I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS; WHOM CAN I CONTACT?

A. For additional answers to your questions please contact your local Gold Coast Bank branch or call the NICE team at the Investors Bank Customer Care Center, 855.iBank4U (855-422-6548), Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. We will also be continually updating this webpage as new information about the merger becomes available. Q. HOW IS THE FDIC INSURANCE APPLIED IF I HAVE AN ACCOUNT AT BOTH GOLD COAST BANK AND INVESTORS BANK?

A. When Investors Bank and Gold Coast Bank merge, the transaction accounts of Gold Coast Bank continue to be insured for at least 6 months after the conversion date.  This grace period will give you time to either restructure your accounts with Investors to receive additional coverage or move the uninsured accounts to a new bank. Certificates of Deposit will also be insured for 6 months.  If the term of your certificate exceeds the 6 months, the additional FDIC insurance will continue until the certificate maturity date.

Gold Coast Bank Bill Pay will be unavailable as of 9 AM. Scheduled payments must be dated no later than Friday, April 3. Anything dated after that date will not be processed.


CONVERSION WEEKEND

FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2020

  • Your Investors Visa® Debit Card will arrive on or around April 3, 2020. Please continue to use your Gold Coast Bank Debit Card through Sunday, April 5.
  • All Gold Coast Bank ATMs will be unavailable as of 2 PM
  • Gold Coast Bank Online, Mobile, and Telephone Banking will be available until 4 PM. No mobile deposits will be accepted after 2 PM.


SATURDAY AND SUNDAY APRIL 4-5, 2020

  • All Gold Coast Bank Branches will be closed
  • Gold Coast Bank ATMs will be unavailable
  • Gold Coast Bank Online, Mobile, and Telephone Banking and Bill Pay, will remain unavailable
 

MONDAY, APRIL 6, 2020

  • You should be able to register for Investors Bank Online and Mobile Banking and Bill Pay as of 8 AM
