Last spring, Investors Bank unveiled a major media campaign that featured two of the New Jersey and New York area’s most beloved sports icons- Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason. Since then, Phil and Boomer have appeared in Investors’ television and radio commercials, a series of exclusive web videos, various print advertisements, and even shown up at special events. If you live in the area, we’re sure you’ve noticed their presence! We thought you might be interested in learning more about our partnership with these football greats.
Investors Bank has been quite visible within our market for a number of years, but in terms of our media presence, we felt it was appropriate to take a step to the next level. At the time of the initial announcement, Investors Bank’s Chief Operating Officer Domenick Cama said, “Investors Bank has evolved into New Jersey’s largest bank. With our focus on business and relationship banking, this campaign will help raise Investors Bank’s level of brand awareness throughout the New York and New Jersey metropolitan region. It will position us for future growth.”
Our leadership team and consulting advertising agency thought Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason would be a good fit to get us attention in the crowded media marketplace. According to Investors Bank Chief Executive Officer Kevin Cummings, “[Boomer and Phil] are good men and professionals who know the value of teamwork. They are proven leaders on and off the field and exemplify Investors’ core values of cooperation, character, community, and commitment.”
Phil and Boomer were very receptive to working with us. Both men were familiar with the bank from working with the Investors Foundation throughout the years. Said Boomer; “I know the bank is committed to making a difference in the community. I am proud to be working with a team of professionals who also are good corporate citizens.”
The partnership kicked-off in May with it being announced on Boomer Esiason’s popular radio and television program. Our CEO Kevin Cummings was pleased to join the broadcast to help make the announcement, in addition to helping rechristen the studio the “Investors Bank Studio.” Immediately afterwards, television, radio, social media, and other advertisements began blanketing the New Jersey and New York area with the “Experts in the Field” campaign.

Phil and Boomer also took part in a ten part video series called “Break Down Your Banking.” Moderated by renowned sports journalist Bonnie Bernstein, each episode of the online-only series focused on a different topic of interest to businesses and anyone seeking to further his or her professional development. In many of the episodes, Phil, Boomer, and Bonnie were joined by CEO Kevin Cummings and other successful business leaders.
Though the Experts in the Field campaign has largely wrapped up, Phil and Boomer have maintained a presence in other Investors Bank promotions and advertisements, and we look to continue to grow the relationship. Keep your eye on the ball for future content featuring them!
