(Jan. 25, 2020) – The New York Giants
and Investors Bank
presented a grant to the not-for-profit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Jersey, Inc.
, which serves as an advocate for children removed from their families.. During ceremonies at MetLife Stadium, executives from the Giants and Investors donated $14,250 to CASA. Throughout Big Blue’s regular football season, Investors pledged to contribute $250 to CASA each time the “G-Men” completed a scoring drive.
The funds from Investors Bank and New York Giants’ “Scoring Drive” effort will aid CASA’s mission to serve children in the foster care system. CASA programs across New Jersey rely on a dedicated volunteer team that advocates for these high-risk children. CASA strives to place these boys and girls in safe and nurturing permanent homes.
When Investors Bank launched its New York Giants Checking account at the start of the 2019 season, the Bank and Big Blue announced the “Scoring Drive” pledge. Over the 16-game season, the “G-Men” scored on 41 offensive TDs, three defensive TDs, 12 field goals and one safety.
Investors Bank CEO Kevin Cummings and President Domenick Cama along with New York Giants CCO Pete Guelli presented the grant to CASA Associate Director Liza Kirschenbaum.
In accepting the check, Kirschenbaum said: “We are deeply grateful to Investors Bank and the New York Giants for making us part of their teams. One of our goals is to make Big Blue fans and Investors’ clients aware that we need caring individuals to assist the many boys and girls who need an engaged, caring advocate in their corner. Our partnership with Investors Bank and the New York Giants was a success because we achieved our shared goals.”
In addition to offering the New York Giants Checking account, Investors Bank is the official consumer and business bank of the New York Giants.
In discussing the alliance, Cummings said: “CASA and its volunteers step forward to assist children who need loving care. The organization is making a huge and positive contribution to these children’s lives and we honor their service. Our bank and the New York Giants are the helping hands behind the scenes that provide resources so that CASA may continue its vital mission.”
